As a producer, song-writer, and film composer, Ryan has the incredible ability to create original music across a broad range of genres including rock, pop, country, R&B, jazz, classical, and various hybrids.  Ryan most recently finished working with Tim Myers (formerly of One Republic) on a song for his upcoming album and is working on a track for Will Gluck’s upcoming film “Easy A.”  Other credits include two songs, “Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah” performed by Public Parking and “I Want Candy” performed by Danger Vaccuum, for the Sony Pictures film “Fired Up!”  Additional film credits include multiple tracks produced for Andy Dick’s “Danny Roane: First Time Director” as well as co-producing Andy Dick’s most recent album “The Darkest Day of the Year.” Additional, clients include Bicycle Music, Sony/ATV, Oglio Records, Ella Records, Banshee Music, and Tekspacular.  Arists include Tim Myers, Larry Bagby, and Alli Davis.

As an executive producer for Killer Tracks, a division of Universal Music Publishing Group, Ryan has produced over 15 albums for TV and film licensing from concept to delivery.  Ryan has had the pleasure of working with: Xandy Barry, Wally Gagel, Ben Jelen, Mr. Fantastic, Jeff Cardoni, Ivan Neville and Dumpstaphunk, Terrance Simien, Chris Fudurich, R. Walt Vincent, and many others.

As a song-writer Ryan has recently been in the studio working with award winning songwriter Matthew Puckett, as well as Andrew Synowiec, Alli Davis, and Danny McCarthy.  He has also written various songs for many NFL, NBA, and collegiate sports teams.

As a film composer Ryan is known for bringing live elements to his compositions by playing woodwinds, guitar, bass, and keys, on his recordings instead of settling for the status quo of synth scores and samples.  He has scored several films and most recently scored original music for the “What Happens In Vegas” movie trailer.  Additional film credits include the feature film, “Dr. Fugazzi” starring Faye Dunaway and compositions for various short films, notably work with the comedians Jimmy Shubert and Andy Dick.  Other clients include Universal, BMG, EMI, APM, Music Junkies, Silkscreen Productions, and IE Effects.

Ryan is a multi-instrumentalist and woodwind specialist whose horn arrangements and saxophone work can be heard on Tamar Kaprelian’s upcoming album  to be released by Interscope in 2010.  Ryan’s can also be heard in the film “More of Me” starring Molly Shannon and such shows as “Miss/Guided” and “Dance Machine.” Ryan’s performance credits also include work with The Temptations, Gerald Albright, Mindi Abair, Brian Culbertson, Larry Bagby, Clark Terry, Jim McNeely, Dave Liebman, Clare Fisher, Kermit Ruffins, Charles Pillow, The New Jersey Saxophone Quartet, The Eastman Touring Wind Ensemble (Carnegie Hall Tour), The Eastman Jazz Ensemble, and The Eastman Philharmonic.
A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Ryan was the first saxophonist to major in both Classical and Jazz Performance. While he studied saxophone under Walt Weiskopf and Chien-Kwan Lin, he also studied clarinet and flute in addition to earning his composition and arranging stripes under Bill Dobbins and Fred Sturm.
